Özet

The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of teachers’ and principals’ self-efficacy and work self-efficacy on powerlessness dimension of work alienation. As the data gathering tool, “Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale”, which was developed by Tschannen-Mooran and Woolfolk Hoy (2001) and translated into Turkish by Çapa and her colleagues (2005) and “Work Alienation Scale” developed by Elma (2003) were used. Population consists of 1736 teachers and principals working at elementary schools in the city center of Kayseri. 326 persons from this group participated in the study. In the research, the impact of teachers’ self-efficacy on powerlessness was studied. R language and Bibliometrix were used to investigate the position of this study in academic research on the same topic in the Scopus Index in the last five years (2019-2023).
