Kayıptan Kaçınma, İyimserlik ve Sürü Eğilimleri İle Kaybetme Korkusunun Yatırım Kararına Etkisinin Analizi

Abstract

Bireysel yatırımcıların finansal piyasalarda işlem yaparken sergiledikleri birçok irrasyonel yatırımcı eğilimi vardır. Yatırımcılar farklı nedenlerden dolayı bu eğilimleri sergilemektedir. Bu çalışmada yatırımcıların sergiledikleri eğilimler arasından kayıptan kaçınma, sürü ve iyimserlik eğilimi ile kaybetme korkusu kullanılmıştır. Kayıptan kaçınma, sürü ve iyimserlik eğilimi ile kaybetme korkusunun yatırım kararına etkisinin incelendiği bu çalışmada anakütle olarak Borsa İstanbul’da işlem yapan bireysel yatırımcılar seçilmiştir. Hazırlanan anket formu Borsa İstanbul’da işlem yapan bireysel yatırımcılara farklı veri toplama teknikleri ile ulaştırılmıştır. Örneklem seçiminde tesadüfi örneklem yöntemi kullanılmıştır. 352 kişinin katılım gösterdiği çalışmada bireysel yatırımcıların yatırım kararlarına kayıptan kaçınma ve sürü eğiliminin negatif etkisi tespit edilmiştir. Kayıptan kaçınma ve sürü eğilimi taşıyan bireysel yatırımcıların yatırım kararları bu eğilimlerden olumsuz anlamda etkilenmektedir. Çalışmada iyimserlik eğiliminin yatırım kararına pozitif etkisinin varlığı da kanıtlanmıştır. Kaybetme korkusunun yatırım kararına herhangi bir etkisi çalışmada tespit edilememiştir.
